"If there's any hot male fans out there, feel free to send me pictures of your genitalia in my PM box." O_o how 'bout noooooooooooooooooooooo

GJ Bjra... xD

Pretty different!

Which is good! I like how you've experimented with the creation of this song.

I really like the kick in this song, very low, punchy, yet subtle. :P

I honestly don't like the clap you used, I dunno why, it may have too much of a decay, or it may be the pitch, I'm not sure.

I love the lead that comes in! It's sooo cool, and when you stick on the bitcruncher effect, it's soo much fun!

In builds, I recommend not bringing the clap in halfway through a 8 bar phrase, but on 1 of he next phrase. That way it doesn't set off the main beat, then people don't know where you are in the song lol. It all comes from experience, but I guess this was part of he experimenting, which is great!

Keep on venturing out of the box Mich!

Keep up the great work,

Mich responds:

Thanks for the review! Yeah about that clap. I didn't really want it to sound like one, which worked out pretty well, but your right it doesn't sound all too good, I think I messed with compression too much on it. Compression is still pretty new for me, and I'm still learning :)

And next time I'll wait with the clap. Thanks for the nice, constructive review!

Awesome.

I love the way you push/pull the time!

And the chords are really soothing.

Although the recording quality is sub-par, it doesn't take away from the quality of your playing. :]

Keep up the great work Melody. :D

Phyrnna responds:

Thank you for the support! I'm glad you like it. ^_^

3 hours?

It's really good, but come on...3 hours?

Ahahahha, I really like this, very laid back, yet driving.

The bass is epic, as well as everything in this song, wow.

I can't say much except, don't say how long it took you to make! ;]

As well, maybe add a little bit more variation, just a thought though, this song is good nonetheless.

Keep up the great work! Thanks for adding me to your favourite artists. :D

DJ-NOSEBLEED responds:

Hmm? Was that, like, it took me too long, or it was fast?
Well thanks a lot man, your stuff is particularly awesome.
I agree about the variation, it is a bit repetitive. Eh, what ever.
Collab sometime?

Childhood... :]

This reminds me of the good old days, of being about 5 years old, not worrying about the troubles of the world, politics, my future, marriage, etc. Just living life to the fullest, it actually made me shed a tear. :']

I LOVE THE LEAD. The pads in the background add nice depth too. The snare is almost march style, but it is breakbeat, which is wicked.

I will admit, the key change as well as chord progression at 2:08 was sudden, although you did have the transitional white noise. It's still nice, but perhaps if you kept the same chord progression going on, but still did the same laying, I think I'd sound better. :]

Yay, strings :D so soothing.... ^^

Keep up the great work Kerrie. Your son has the best mom in the world! :]

awwww! wow thank you! you made ME emotional telling me how YOU were emotional while listening to the song. an area i need to work on is transitions...i will keep your advice in mind. i'm so glad you liked it! and thank you so much for the wonderful compliment...i love my son so much! thank you!

Sounds cool.

It doesn't go anywhere though. :/

Pianos don't sustain like that in real life..so it sounds really weird.

That sound that came in at 0:55 gets rather annoying, it's quite repetitive, and it's just the right frequency that it rings the ears.

The subtle beat that comes in at 1:22 was cool, took a little while to get here though.

WORK ON IT PLEASE, I really like the lead you use in the intro, just work on the attack of the notes because they're clicky.

Keep it up, you have loads of potential!

Kazmo

GibbiusMaximus responds:

Thanks a lot for the feedback!
Yeah, this is just the idea so far, it will go somewhere
And i know what u mean about the piano, ill try switching the sample.
Yeah, I realize that now, I can probably switch the pattern up to give it variety.
I am currently working on it, between all the other crap ive got to do ;P
But thanks again for all of the advice.
Most people pop on here, give it a shit vote and run without saying a word. The criticism you provided was exactly what I was looking for! Thanks a million!

Well...

...it had it's moments.

I LOVED the intro, very relaxing.

After 1:13 though....get quite repetitive, almost excessive.

When the bass came in, it was too overpowering, and it didn't always sound right with the chord because it wouldn't be on the root of the chord, didn't resolve, if you know what I'm saying.

I was expecting a change up in the chord progression at 2:09, but nope, more of the same, with a different lead (different melody too).

By now, I have a headache, sorry. That lead is somewhat piercing, I dunno why, probably because it has a sharp attack. It also has too much resonance, when you do the filter drop off with the lead.

You open hat sounds rather dry too.

I'm sure you're not liking my review, but hey, songs like these need constructive criticism, especially when there is indeed room for improvement.

I'm giving you a 8, just because I'm nice, but in my eyes it's a 6.

Keep working at it, you have loads of potential, shows in the intro. :]

Krussi responds:

I don't hate this review, it was very constructive in a good way :P it always helps to see things through others prespective. And as I responded to Airprogressive's review, I most certainly will continue on this song, and it will be altered on many places.

Thanks alot for the review, at first look, I thought it'd be very unconstrutive. But as I read through the whole review, I noticed that it was incredibly constructive :P

Thanks again for the review, and for the "7" (8 ?) :P

I'd expect this...

...in a Battlefield game!

Sounds sooo epic, I really like the structure, as well as the variety in the instruments/rhythm!

The sitar (excuse me if I'm wrong) reminds me of the Battlefield 2 music lol.

Soo action packed! Serious skill right here! Lovin it.

Don't know if you like trance, but feel free to check out my stuff. :]

KEEP IT UP!!!

paradoxphenomena responds:

Thanks for the review. I'll be sure to check out your stuff. Don't be disappointed if I don't review though since I'm not much for words. But as a fellow artist if your work is great then it speaks for itself. Though I'll be sure to vote.

Nice...

...but I'm sure you're aware it can be so much better! :D

1. Where's the bass? I'm sure you know this, the kick is very weak, almost non-existent.

2. Sounds tinny...where are the mids?

3. Mastering, very much needed especially for the higher frequencies.

Other than those points, this song's structure as well as melodies are quite something else, very enjoyable. Not quite sure if you're going to keep working on this song...wouldn't mind seeing the final product!

Keep up the good work! Awaiting the other two projects you're working on!

Kazmo

X-Infinity-Zero responds:

thanks for the review.

i think the bass line (not the actual kick itself) is over powering the kicks in this song.

yea some mastering needs dont but that takes a bit of time and if i have the time i will master this version and repost.

i dont know what you mean by tiny but im going to take a shot at that means there is no supporting sounds for the main. if thats the case then its because i couldnt find any supporting sounds that wouldnt clash with the main synth and other sounds just made the song sound cluttered even if i tried my hardest to blend all the sounds together.

i do admit some effects are needed to improve the bass quality but i just dont have the time right now. maybe later after i get some other projects out of the way.

so thanks again kazmo for the detailed review.

WOW

This is quite amazing!
