A little Kazmo touch now??

I'll have a go at this. :]

PARANATION responds:

GO FOR IT!! lol

I was astounded!

I was quite surprised with this song!

I had no idea what to expect at some points in the song, very entertaining, and very good. :D

I will admit, it's a tad repetitive and seems to drag at some points.

Other than that, this is solid, and very well mastered!! :]

I'm glad I came across this today.

Keep up the great work!!!

SpazeMusic responds:

Thanks for the review ! :D

Ok, I'll be honest.

At first, I thought this was gonna be epic!

But then I was disappointing after the build, the lead didn't get sharper/crisper/meaner, and the kick wasn't all that strong.

What I would do is make the lead get much louder (cut in more?) and then stick a sidechain on it, and make it fade a great bit with the kick, so that it just FLIES.

If you need help, feel free to contact me.

I know this is only your second attempt, and what I'm giving are pointers.

I <3 THE EXPERIENCE.

Flute! yay ^.^

Same old same old?

Right at the beginning, the same old chord progressions are heard. I was expecting something new... :[

I was actually going to write a review like this sooner, but I wanted to see where you were going with your music. I notice that most of your songs share the same chord progressions.

I know, other artists have the same chord-progressions (dj-Nate, B0UNC3's 2005 stuff (sorry man lol)), but there ARE other ways of making music.

Rather than resorting to the standard progression, try making new chord progressions, you won't 'progress' (lol pun) as an artist if you don't try new things.

This review may be a tad harsh, but I'm just saying it how it is.

Try new things please. You have the skills, you just need to apply them. :]

Krussi responds:

I appreciate your opinion, and this review, but I seriously can't agree with you.
It's not becuase I made this song, its just that I can't agree on your notes.
In most times, its fun to hear something different.
But I somehow like the type of chord-progression some artists mostly use, its their style.

And I think you should stick to a chord, then make a new chord at some point in the song.
For example in this song: at 01:39
The chords are completely different.

Many great artists such as Pulsedriver, Sylver, DJ Sammy and many more, have that build.
Most of my songs share the same chord progression since its commercial trance, and not progressive. I've never liked to make progressive trance, although I like listening to it, I've never enjoyed making it :P

Hmm, this was a rather long respond xD and I'd like to have a respond to my respond (lol), so eighter by PM, or I can give you my MSN or the otherway around :P

Thanks for the review, and I like your honesty :P

I like.

The intro was cool, the drums were really really catchy.

When the bass came in I was like, "nice!", but I was expecting a lower bass, more oooomph, you know?

This song also seems to go on and on and on, and is somewhat repetitive. If you could perhaps add some variation in either the drum beat, or FX, or something, that would clear that up.

I guess I just find the bass a little too granular, it starts to give me a headache, especially with the constant fading in and out.

The rhythm is mint though, is that a loop though? It's EQed well. :D

The pause at 3:47 was a tad weird...in my opinion. It sounded like the song was over, and the uneducated listener may have just stopped listening, before you even bring in that really really nice synth!!! NOT GOOD LOL

I love the song sooo much after the pause though. :D Sadly, after the pause, that's less than half the original song...

Overall, very good tune, repetitive, yet catchy, and nice rhythm.

Trust me, I really wanted to give a 5, seeing that the score so low for some really strange reason. :/

Keep em coming!!!

heartless1298 responds:

Thanks! And yes, the percussion was 2 different loops (a tribal house loop and a shaker loop) sliced and EQ'ed to perfection. Thanks for the advice. Also, the bass does get more oomph at around 1:47, because I added a sinewave of bass to give it that more oomph. I made the "sub" part as loud as I could without getting distortion.

Thanks for all the advice though! I'll be sure to use it in my next song.

Nice song!

I really like this. The lead is soo enjoyable!

A few things though, need more kick! :D I can't hear low bassss in the kick. :[

I also think you need more effects so that it doesn't get too repetitive, maybe some more automation clips or more samples.

Other than that, you have yourself a really great tune!

Keep up the great work!!!

Oooh. lol

I was expecting a different song, but instead it's sort of more or less a different mood of the same theme. Really surprised me. xD

Assertive is in a major key, while this one is in a minor key. Nicely done. I like Assertive Mood more to be honest. ;]

Nonetheless, this track has it's wicked moments!

RenoakRhythm responds:

ya basically same song... thats why i just changed the mood title, and I made this one first, and didn't feel satisfied with it and changed it to a major key. I'm glad i did , and i'm glad I uploaded it.

thanks for the reviews.

I like!

This is rather good! Very catchy, and simple! :D

The only thing I can really critique on are the hihats, they're quite faint, it may either be your EQing or levels, but other than that, this is a quality track!

I'll be sure to check out the Competent Mood. :P
